Music Memories Monday – Da Do Run Run

And this ends our month of Doo-Wop music. Light-hearted, fun music it is. This week’s pick was written by Jeff Barry, Ellie Greenwich and Phil Spector who also produced it. It showed up in 1963 performed by The Crystals debuted it in 1963.

In 1977, Shaun Cassidy changed the lyrics to reflect his gender and it started off his career with a bang!

If you are an artist, you know you have made it when people make parodies out of your music. This is no exception. Robin Williams sang one verse of the song that refers of “En-ron-ron. It was also part of an Energizer commercial.
